Giants vs Lions
The Giants rolled into Motor City with the hope of winning. While they did come away with a win, the game was butt-ugly! WHY? If you watched the game you say ALL the chances to put this game away early! Fumble after another GREAT return by Ahmad Bradshaw. Interception when they were about to score! VERY ugly if you ask me.
Once again the Giants defense came up HUGE! Michael Strahan was on a sack rampage. He had 3 and there could have been more except for the fact that Kitna could scramble.
So a win is a win. 7 and 3 is GREAT! I would have signed up for that after an 0-2 start! What did we get out of it as Giant fans? We lost an up-and-coming defensive player in Mathias Kiwanuka. This guy has finally got it. He knows his roll and positiion on the defense. Rushing the QB when playing line backer and creating havoc when on the line as another defensive end.
We lost Brandon Jacobs. This man was on his way to a carreer year! He is not Tiki Barber or David Meggett for that matter. What Brandon Jacobs has shown is he IS an every down back. This man can plow through defenders as well as get around the corner for big gains. Boy do I hope his hamstring is not severe. The good part is that Derek Ward is ready to return…maybe. Another all-around back with speed and agility. If only the 3 headed monster could get back on the field together….sigh!
Ahmad Bradshaw has shown a ton with his ability on kick returns. Could we be looking at the future of the 4 headed monster? I guess that would be pushing it a little since nobody would ever get enough carries!
OK, the Giants are 7-3 and getting ready for the Minnesota Vikings. With continued hard play and Eli Manning with his new found decision making, the Giants could be 8-3 after this comming week. The Jets play the Cowgirls….Cowboys on Thanksgiving day. Should the Jets play a complete game as they did Sunday, that will knock Dallas back a knotch! They NEED IT!
I am going to prepare myself for a WHOLE LOT OF TURKEY and NO HUMBLE PIE for desert! GOD BLESS everyone and have a safe, healthy, and thankful Thanksgiving!
